Kantaris Media Player Lite Portable aims to be an all-in-one media player that provides a great audio and video experience. Video playback is based on Videolan Client (VLC) code which results in that it plays everything without the need of installing any codecs.
Plays DVDs and audio CDs.

It features an attractive skin, some nice audio visualizations, and integration with Last.fm and Apple movies trailers. Kantaris can play almost anything you can throw at it: AVI, MPEG, MGEG-AVC, WMV, MOV, MKV, quicktime, matroska, divx, xvid, H264, MP3, WMA, OGG files and more.

What's new:
The focus has for the most part been on developing new features and less time has been spent on fixing bugs and cleaning up the code. This has led to that bugs have been piling up so now I thought it was time to really focus on the user experience and I hope you like the result. I could list all the fixes but it’s easier to just say that most if not all problems I’m aware of should be fixed. (knock on wood)
